Display ‘CHRISTMAS PAST’
Find out about this popular seasonal festival. Did the ancient Roman festival of Saturnalia have any links to our festivities and what happened at Christmas in medieval times? Did the Victorians invent Christmas carols and when did Christmas trees first appear in England? Why do we bring greenery into our homes at Christmas and do we know who invented the first Christmas card?
You are invited to come along to St Katherine’s to see our Christmas display and the church decorated for Christmas.
